Perthshire's Secret Luxury Wedding Venue

It was so lovely to be on the grounds yet again in this stunning historical place! I was being the photographer of the day at Megginch Castle is a 15th-century castle in Perth and Kinross, in central Scotland. It was the family home of Cherry, 16th Baroness Strange. I could feel all the hills wondering around the castle capturing my Wedding Couple Sam & Rachel special day. The owners & Wedding Coordinators worked well together so thier dream wedding has come true. The castle offers various locations, halls and chapel.

Wikipedia Fact: Megginch Castle is a private family home, which is only open for special events. The gardens are listed on the Inventory of Gardens and Designed Landscapes in Scotland.

It was so lovely to meet the couple Sam & Rachel, they did not stop smiling ! Even considering the proper Scottish weather with showers and sun spells they were most positive people in the world! The main part of the wedding ceremony was taken in a small chapel, dark and moody atmosphere given the special touch to it! Rachel and Sam said their I do’s followed by traditional exchange of rings and happy song! A small touch can make a wedding truly yours!

What is the significance of jumping the broom at a wedding?

Rachel and Sam not only exchanged rings, tied some knots and drank from the Quaich but jumped over a broom! “The act symbolizes a new beginning and a sweeping away of the past, and can also signify the joining of two families or offer a respectful nod to family ancestors." In fact, even after slavery ended, some descendants still chose to jump the broom to validate their marriage in lieu of having an officiant. So here we go! They did it with grace.

Even during typical Scottish weather we found a minute for outdoor photographs, the best park bubble confetti walk !
